About the Hut

The hut has big windows so you can see everything around you. It’s cozy and has everything you need, like a toilet, a small kitchen, and Wi-Fi.

In summer, you can see the beautiful landscape all day long because it’s bright for 24 hours. In spring and autumn, you can enjoy the pretty twilight. To get to the AuroraHut, you’ll go on a boat called a Zodiac in summer. In winter, you can watch the stars and maybe see the Northern Lights from the hut, which is on the ice.

The AuroraHut is kind to the environment and can be moved easily without hurting nature. It’s far away from other people and any city lights.

There’s no shower, it is also best to have dinner before you arrive.You need to be at least 20 years old to stay here.

Your stay

Your stay includes everything you need, like a comfortable bed, transportation to and from the hut, cleaning, and some food. Check-in starts at 5:30 PM, but if you’re late, there’s an extra fee (15.000.- ISK each extra hour). You’ll go on a Zodiac boat in summer and a big car in winter. Check-out is around 09:00 AM.
